UoG Swim4All is an inclusive community dedicated to supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds. Their program provides learn-to-swim lessons conducted by qualified instructors, coaching for stroke techniques, and enjoyable social swim events, enabling participants to engage in physical activity in a manner that accommodates their unique preferences. This initiative was founded by students Ethan Fincham and George Kelmanjohns, who recognised that over 14 million adults in the United Kingdom lack swimming proficiency. Their goal is to ensure that all University of Gloucestershire students and staff have free access to a swimming pool, thereby promoting opportunities to learn or enhance swimming skills, which they consider essential life skills.
